About me

I’m a qualified integrative counsellor and mindfulness instructor who is passionate about working with women and men who are depressed and anxious or have experienced loss, sexual abuse and domestic violence. I offer a safe and welcoming place to process your experiences, helping you to gently come to terms with the feelings you are facing.

My aim is for you to feel heard and accepted. This may be the first time you've spoken to anyone about your experiences, or perhaps you'd like to find new ways of coping - whatever you are going through, together we can find a way to regain your balance.

I tailor the therapy specifically to you, according to your needs. I work with a range of different therapies and our sessions will allow you to understand how your experiences have affected your feelings, behaviour and relationships, helping you to formulate coping strategies for your future.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and work both in private practice and with the charities Counselling Matters Bexley and Westmeria Counselling Services in Bromley.

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies and a Level 2 in Counselling Skills.

I am a qualified mindfulness instructor and have provided online mental health services for anxiety and depression over the last decade, whilst also running mindfulness workshops for the brain injury service Headway Kent, the Number One Community Trust and for workers at Tunbridge Wells Council.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
