About me

I am an experienced qualified counsellor and member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I have trained as an intergrative counsellor which allows me to use a combination of therapeutic approaches to fit an individuals needs.

I offer a safe, confidential, non judgemental space for individuals to explore their needs, thoughts and feelings. I understand taking this first step into the unknown can be quite an anxious one and for this reason I am happy to answer any questions by email or have a free of charge fifteen minute telephone consultation to answer any questions you may have so that you feel at ease.

There are many reasons that people come for therapy.  My collaborative approach enables me to work in the here and now, perhaps you are feeling stuck and want change but are unsure how to do so. I can offer a solution based approach, helping to identify, achieve and maintain your goals.  Or I can look at the past and how childhood memories and experiences have impacted on your life and any difficulties this may be causing.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
