About me

I am a MBACP integrative psychotherapist working with individual adults. I  offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment for clients wanting to explore their feelings and meanings that they might carry for them. I can provide immediate short-term support as well as short and long-term therapy depending on individual needs.  I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, low moods and those overcoming traumatic experiences. I support people experiencing difficulties in their relationships, workplace or family. I also assist people wanting to increase their self-awareness, improve their self-esteem and work on personal development.

My practice is highly influenced by humanistic and especially person-centred approaches. I invite my clients to decide on the content and the pace of the session and I will stay alongside them in whatever they want to explore, supporting them in listening to themselves and finding the answers.

In my work, I also integrate psychodynamic and CBT approaches as well as other therapeutic techniques to support clients in exploring their feelings or making sense of things in their life.

Why therapy?

Have you been wondering how anxiety, depression, and low moods came to be and where they come from? This question might have bothered you enough to start looking for support from a professional so hopefully, we can help you answer that!

You might have been talking to friends or your partner or looking on Google for the answer to this question.  Part of what you are going through is that you really want to be seen. Has anyone really listened to you about what you are going through right now?

How would it feel if someone actually listened to you, they heard and saw what you are experiencing?

You might have been looking for answers only to find that tips and tricks you see online are not actually making a difference in the way you are feeling. What would make the difference for you right now?

Working with a professional therapist to relieve your feelings can help you to:

- be seen and heard in a safe, comfortable and non-judgmental environment so that you can start to focus on other areas of your life that matter;

 - gain an understanding of what is real and what we can help you with;

- heal and  learn how to prevent the same things from happening in the future

Finding the right counsellor can be overwhelming.  If you are unsure how to start, please send me a short email and I will be happy to answer your query. We can arrange a short call to see what you are looking for and check if we are a match.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
