About me

As my client, you would have a safe, trusting and non-judgemental space to share and explore your life story.

Together, we can work towards understanding any difficulties and bringing change and transformation for a happier life.

How we relate to ourselves and others affects how we think, feel and function. Looking at your past/present relationships and any behaviour patterns, we can work out what’s holding you back from the life you want.

I believe in the power of a healthy therapeutic relationship and how this can bring strength, to help find yourself again and ease distress. I am confident you will feel relaxed with me.

Giving yourself this  time can be a positive start, where you understand the past better, process your present day more effectively and set goals for a brighter future. We do this when you are ready.

I am a Relational Integrative Counsellor, who applies a variety of Psychotherapeutic theories, to meet the individual needs of each of my clients.

I worked with Relationships Scotland and have had many clients that have thrived in our therapy and made positive changes in their lives.

I am currently mentoring students at a local university and have many clients aged 18-25 years at difficult stages in life who need support to move forward. I have also worked with difficult relationships, empty nest syndrome and menopause and new changes that need time and support to process.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like more information.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
