About me

Hi I'm Kaisha. I am an integrative counsellor offering support to adults, children and young people (aged 6+). I am currently accepting new clients. I have daytime and evening appointment appointments available**

We all need someone to help us find a way through when things are tough. If you are struggling with your mental health, you are not alone. I offer a safe and confidential space where you are able to prioritise yourself and work through what might be troubling you, without judgement. The sessions will be based on what you would like to bring, whether that be your life experiences, current difficulties, relationships, or aspects of your life you would like to change. It will be an opportunity to focus on you, where we can find a way forward together.

Our relationship is an integral part of our work together, I aim to support you in exploring your experiences, feelings and thoughts and to help you to process, gain personal awareness, processing and look at different perspectives.

Choosing a therapist can be an overwhelming decision to make. It is important that I am the right person for you. I offer a no obligation 15 minute phone call to discuss what is going on for you at the moment.

From the phone call we can arrange an initial assessment session, where we can discuss some back ground information, what support you feel you need, what you may like to achieve from therapy and whether you would like to work with me.

I offer short or long term therapy, whatever is best for you and your needs.

I offer sessions face-to-face or on Zoom.

Information for young people:

Counselling is a safe meeting that we have together, where we talk about anything you would like. Nothing that we discuss is out of bounds, right or wrong. Our conversations will be stay between us, however there may be times where I have to share information if we discuss things that are unsafe. Talking about things that are difficult can be tough. If that's not for you, that's okay. I offer a range of different ways we can explore what is going on for you, such as painting, drawing, emotion cards and sand therapy. My hope is that you will feel listened to and understood, and we can try and understand things better and move forward together.

Information for parents:

I offer an introductory phone call to discuss the reasons your child need support and if I am able to help. I am committed in helping your child find a way through and supporting them to pinpoint and unpick the issues they are experiencing.

* I aim to reply to enquiries within 2 working days. Please do check your junk folder if you have not heard from me in this time.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
