Justin Joseph - Counsellor (White Lotus Counselling Practice)
Hi my name is Justin and I’m a warm, empathetic and welcoming individual. I am a strong believer that each person is unique and just like the lotus flower, we all possess the ability to grow and heal, despite our deepest and most difficult experiences. I’d be honoured to journey with you through the struggles that you’re experiencing and will work with you at your own pace.
“The lotus flower blooms most beautifully from the deepest and thickest mud” - Katie Robinson
I believe each person is unique, therefore, as an integrative counsellor an array of techniques or approaches will be used, dependent on your individual needs. I provide an empathetic, friendly and non-judgmental space, to explore and better understand your thoughts and feelings.
Here’s a little bit about me; I have a first class BA Honours Degree in Integrative Counselling (Theory and Practice) and am a member of the BACP. I have experience working with both adults and adolescents (aged from 11-17), addressing a variety of issues such as communication, depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, panic attacks, stress, anxiety and helping individuals to understand their emotions, whether blocked/suppressed.
In addition to talking therapies, I also have experience and training in creative interventions such as using; drawings, gestalt, pictures, fairytales, figurines, sand tray and role-plays, which is useful as an alternative method for gaining insight. I regularly undergo training to ensure I am able to provide the best and most up to date practice.
I believe that counselling within the right environment can facilitate positive change. From personal experience I have seen how counselling can help gain greater self-awareness, to become more empowered and to build the confidence we need to make the necessary changes, in order to better our life and relationships with others.
So if you feel this is something you would like to explore, or you have any questions, then please drop me an email and we can arrange a free initial assessment, discuss our working together, and give you can get a glimpse of whether counselling is something you would like to embark on with me.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
