Welcome, my name is Justin and I’m a warm, empathetic and welcoming individual, with a passion for helping and guiding individuals with where they’re currently at within life.
“The lotus flower blooms most beautifully from the deepest and thickest mud” - Katie Robinson
I am a strong believer that each person is unique and just like the lotus flower we all possess the ability to grow and heal, despite our deepest and most difficult experiences. I’d be honoured to journey with you through the struggles that you’re experiencing and will work with you at your own pace.
Furthermore, I believe each person is unique, therefore, as an integrative counsellor an array of techniques or approaches will be used, dependent on your individual needs. I provide an empathetic, friendly and non-judgmental space, to explore and better understand your thoughts and feelings.
Here’s a little bit about me; I have a first class BA Honours Degree in Integrative Counselling (Theory and Practice) and am a registered member of the BACP. I have experience working with adults and adolescents (within a secondary school setting, aged from 11-17), addressing a variety of issues such as communication, depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, panic attacks, stress, anxiety and helping individuals to understand their emotions (whether blocked or suppressed).
In addition to talking therapies, I also have experience and training in creative interventions such as using; drawings, gestalt, pictures, fairytales, figurines, sand tray and role-plays, which is useful as an alternative method for gaining insight. I regularly undergo training to ensure I am able to provide the best and most up to date practice.
I believe that counselling within the right environment can facilitate positive change. From personal experience I have seen how counselling can help gain greater self-awareness, to become more empowered and to build the confidence we need to make the necessary changes, in order to better our life and relationships with others.
So if you feel this is something you would like to explore, or you have any questions, then please drop me an email and we can arrange a free initial assessment, discuss our working together, and give you can get a glimpse of whether counselling is something you would like to embark on with me.
At present I am only offering online/telephone counselling.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
