About me

Would you like to find out why you feel sad?

Perhaps explore and understand your un-resolved trauma?

Overcome anxiety or panic attacks by learning new ways to deal with them,

Or improve your self-esteem and know your worth.

Let’s begin your journey!

The initial stages of implementing change in your life can be the most challenging. Discussing painful experiences may seem daunting and frightening. Building the confidence, skills, and comfort to do so takes time. I strive to establish an empathic connection, creating a safe space to explore these experiences and emotions. Together, we can navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, intrusive thoughts, anger, and more.

"He's provided me with an environment where it doesn't feel like I'm talking to a counsellor but a friend. I gained the ability to open up properly."

I embrace a pluralistic therapy approach, recognising the uniqueness of each individual. This approach allows me to tailor our sessions to your specific needs, promoting a collaborative and empowering therapeutic experience.

"He is calm and understanding, making you feel like what you're feeling is completely understandable. He never judges and creates a comfortable space to share anything."

I specialise in addressing anxiety, depression, and coaching clients toward healthy life patterns. My goal is to assist you in navigating life's challenges, empowering you to create positive changes and lead a fulfilling life.

Thank you for taking the time to read what I have to offer. Here’s more about my personal journey.

Personal Journey

Anxiety controlled the majority of my teenage and young adult life. Leaving my home simply to do groceries felt like a terrifying task. I now know coping mechanisms that can alleviate these issues and have worked on my cognitive process to live a healthy life unaffected by anxiety.

I also live with childhood trauma stemming from difficulties I faced as a young immigrant. It can be challenging at times, but I've learned to address and manage my thoughts and emotions when they arise. Although it's not easy, I've begun my healing journey.

Furthermore, I'm fluent in Korean, which enables me to provide therapy in Korean for those who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in that language. I understand the nuances of culture and language and can offer culturally sensitive therapy to Korean-speaking individuals.

I'm sharing this with you because I understand the challenges of living with these emotions, thoughts, and trauma. However, through personal experience in therapy and my practice, I've learned that our past and present issues can be navigated and managed.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
