About me

Hello, my name is Jon.

I offer remote psychological therapy, supervision and training.

I am passionate and focused on providing trauma informed care. You might be looking to focus on the current problem, or perhaps want to develop an understanding and address the underlying difficulties that are behind the here and now. I am a keen CBT and EMDR practitioner, and regularly use EMDR as a part of my practice.

I have worked in psychological therapies for over 13 years within the NHS, qualifying as a CBT therapist in 2016. After completing my training I then qualified as an EMDR therapist as well as completing extra training to offer CBT to those with Long Term Conditions and Medically Unexplained Symptoms.

It is important to me as a clinician that you feel that you are part of the process of therapy. I never forget that as a therapist I have the less challenging role when asking you to make changes, and that the rationale for every choice and change we make together is made clear beforehand.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BABCP fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, EMDR Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Associate University Lecturer

I have completed an 18-month Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) via the University of Nottingham.

I have completed all parts of an EMDR Europe Accredited Training via EMDR Extra.

I have completed a course of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Long Term Conditions and Medically Unexplained Symptoms.

I have also completed a a Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert) in Psychological Therapies via the University of Nottingham, as well as completing a BSC (Hons) in Psychosocial Sciences at the University of East Anglia.
