About me
Hello and welcome - I’m really glad you’re here.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially when you’re going through a difficult time. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with low mood, or carrying the weight of grief, you don’t have to face it all alone. I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can be truly heard, without judgment, pressure, or expectation.
I'm a person-centred counsellor, which means I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore what’s going on for you, at your pace, in your own words. Together, we can gently untangle the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that might be keeping you stuck or in pain.
I work mainly with:
- Anxiety – when your thoughts feel like they’re racing, or the world feels unsafe.
- Depression – when motivation is low, emotions feel heavy, or you feel disconnected from yourself or others.
- Grief and loss – whether recent or long ago, sudden or expected, grief can reshape everything. I offer a space to process it honestly and tenderly.
I believe in creating a real human connection where you can feel safe enough to talk about whatever matters most to you - even if you’re not quite sure what that is yet.
You don’t need to have all the answers or a clear “reason” to come to counselling. If something doesn’t feel right and you’d like support, that’s more than enough.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Talking to friends and family can only take us so far, and it can often leave us feeling that we have exhausted these resources, or left feeling that our needs have not been met.
This is where I come in, as a fully trained counsellor, I will offer you a safe, judgement free space to talk and the empathy that you need and deserve.
In our sessions together, you are free to voice any thoughts and feelings which may be troubling you and we can work through them together.
