About me

Greetings,

I extend a warm welcome to you. My name is Jean Williams MBACP, an Integrative Counsellor located in Ashford. My practice is conveniently situated near Ashford, Twickenham, Staines-Upon-Thames, Sunbury, Egham, Richmond, and the surrounding areas.

I offer a range of counselling sessions, including face-to-face meetings, Zoom, Telehealth video platform, Skype (free services), and telephone counselling. Please feel free to reach out to me for a complimentary fifteen-minute conversation.

Are you currently facing difficulties and feeling disconnected from yourself?

Throughout my years of experience working with individuals, I have witnessed their struggles as well as faced my own. Anxiety, adult bullying, relationship issues, family conflicts, work-related challenges, loss, bereavement, and low self-esteem are all common problems we encounter in life. There are moments when everyone experiences distressing emotions that disrupt their daily lives and relationships, and confiding in friends or family members may not feel suitable.

Perhaps you have lost your sense of self or direction due to a demanding career, anxiety, bullying, parenthood, relationship issues, ill health, loss, grief, or any other life difficulties. Maybe you are finding it difficult to move forward from a traumatic event or memory, and despite your efforts, you cannot let go.

I understand that taking the initial steps toward making changes in your life can be intimidating. Facing difficulties can often be distressing or frightening. I acknowledge these feelings and want to assure you that simply recognising the need for support is a sign of strength.

I am a fully qualified Counselling Professional. I am a compassionate individual who is dedicated to empowering people to discover their answers and helping them develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and experiences to bring about positive change.

I warmly invite you to reach out to me to explore how we can work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
