ARE YOU CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH DIFFICULTIES AND FEELING LIKE YOU HAVE LOST TOUCH WITH YOURSELF?

I have worked with people for many years and have witnessed their struggles as well as my own. Anxiety, adult bullying, relationships, family issues, work-related issues, loss, bereavement, grief, self-esteem, are all problems that we face along the way. Certainly, there are times when everyone experiences difficult, distressing feelings that interfere with everyday life and relationships, and confiding in friends or family members just doesn’t feel right.

Perhaps somewhere along the way you got lost in a career, anxiety, bullying, parenthood, relationships, ill health, loss or grief, or any number of life's difficulties and it has left you feeling like you don’t know who you are or what you want anymore? Or perhaps you are struggling to move on from a traumatic event or memory and no matter what you try, you can’t let it go?

I know that it can be daunting to take the first steps toward making changes in your life; sometimes facing difficulties can feel distressing or frightening. I acknowledge this and I want to encourage you that just recognising that you could do with some support – is a strength in itself.

Be encouraged.

I am a fully qualified Counselling Professional with 30 years of experience in helping people. I am a compassionate person who is passionate about empowering people to find the answers that are right for them and helping them to develop the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to achieve change.

I warmly invite you to contact me to see how we could work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
