About me
Sometimes life is hard, but you don't have to be hard on yourself. Taking the first step to exploring how you're feeling can seem difficult or uncomfortable, but we can make this journey together...
I have experience of supporting clients not only through life's ups and downs, but also through encounters of life changing situations, such as loss, self-harm, grief, difficult relationship dynamics, anger and those who have been affected by suicide.
I work with many people who live with anxiety and depression, as I understand the impact this can have on day to day life and a person's self-worth and self esteem.
All of life's experiences can be even more challenging when your own self-worth and value is non-existent.
I work with clients to discover, love and accept all parts of themselves; to value and care for themselves in their unique journey to heal and begin to thrive. I believe that becoming your authentic self is rooted to your ability to cope, explore and process the challenges you have encountered in life.

I trained integratively - this means I have studied more than one therapeutic model, which I believe enables me to offer clients a more holistic approach to talking therapy; I value my clients each as whole human individuals and work by considering you as a whole. This could be considering your self care, boundaries you hold or don't hold in life, how you feel in the moment and how you have felt in the past. I work by adapting the sessions to suit your individual needs, whilst still ensuring that you have a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore issues that may feel difficult for you.
I hold experience of working with both adults and young people, in both long and short term work.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

How I work:
- If you think I could be the right counsellor for you, get in touch and we can arrange an informal chat to talk about your needs for counselling.
- Sessions are arranged at mutually agreed times either in person or for online sessions - your session day and time will be the same every week.
- Before your session, I email you my working agreement with my terms and conditions to be signed before our first session.
- I offer a safe, warm and confidential space that is judgement free to allow you to fully express yourself and explore any issues concerning you.
- Sessions are held at your pace, and the first few sessions are generally treated as getting to know you sessions. I do work creatively, so where appropriate, we may work with diagrams, drawings or even games if it is appropriate.
