About me
As a Certified Counsellor and registered member of the BACP, I'm passionate about promoting positive mental health and happiness. Whether working online or face to face, I aim to provide you with a warm, safe, confidential space where I will walk alongside you to understand what you're going through, what you need and how we can best work together to achieve your goals. Counselling requires a degree of vulnerability so I promise to bring my authentic, non judgmental self to our sessions as I honor the innately human aspect of the relationship and your own unique, individual characteristics, helping you do the same. I also believe in transparency, so I promote an open and honest dialogue from start to finish, to allow fairness and trust at every opportunity, allowing us to make the best decisions for you. I believe working at this level of depth, with your wellbeing and development at the heart of everything we do, helps provide the right environment for you to flourish.
I've practiced this approach in a variety of settings, including life coaching for underprivileged young adults; A behavior change therapist in a domestic abuse agency: And as a general counsellor for well known mental health charities as well as my private practice.
In addition to my online services, I'm now able to offer face to face counselling from my home in Cornwall. So whether you prefer to work via online video, telephone, in person, or a combination of these things, I'm confident we can find something that works for you.
So anything you're going through right now that's led you to this place, I welcome you making contact if you have any questions or would like to book an initial session.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
