About me

Hello. My name is Jacqui Miller and I offer counselling sessions (via Zoom) from my dedicated online practice, Azure Dragonfly Counselling.

I am a registered therapeutic counsellor and working online means I can offer you convenience and flexibility when accessing sessions. Unrestricted by location, I can provide a welcoming, safe, and professional online space to anyone with internet access living anywhere in the UK.

Please visit my website https://azure-dragonfly-counselling.co.uk for more information.

Sessions are for anyone over 18 who is wanting to talk about and explore their concerns and difficulties.

I offer sessions to clients experiencing low self-esteem; anxiety; and depression. I provide support for clients who are experiencing identity issues; are neurodivergent; or have a chronic illness, as well as clients facing problems relating to work, home, family and relationships. I can also support anyone wanting to work on areas of self-awareness and personal development.

Working as an integrative counsellor means that I can give you opportunities to work in a way that feels right for you. That may include, for example, focusing on situations, thoughts and feelings in the present; looking at experiences and memories from the past; exploring relationships, behaviours and habits; or thinking about identity, roles and your own personal sense of self. It may also involve thinking about what you want from the future.

I can offer you support, openness, and acceptance, and will collaborate with you in creating an environment that feels safe to explore your experiences at your own pace.

My work is informed by counselling training, psychological learning and research, lived experience, and a commitment to professional and personal development.

I believe that counselling can transform lives - helping us to manage difficult emotions, negotiate challenging life experiences, and change unwanted thoughts and behaviours.

Counselling can open our eyes to new possibilities, boost our confidence, resilience and self-esteem, and improve our mental health and physical wellbeing. With the right therapeutic relationship counselling has the capacity to be life-changing.

Now is a great time to think about positive mental health and find out how counselling can help.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
