About me

Whatever you are going through and however it is making you feel, I can offer you a safe space to be heard and understood. I help with; anxiety, depression, abuse, stress, loneliness, bereavement, alcohol problems and many more personal challenges. One important thing these personal challenges have in common? They all can improve with counselling support.

Counselling is a form of therapy which has been proven to help people make positive changes to their lives. Ultimately helping you to feel and cope better when being up against personal challenges.

You may be experiencing thoughts, feelings or behaviours that you want to overcome. Maybe you are going through an upsetting time or hope to break free from a difficult situation.  Perhaps you may want to explore problems or experiences which are painful, unsettling or embarrassing.

Working together in a safe space, will help and allow you to talk at your own pace about whatever is bringing you to counselling. Together we can explore, make sense of, and try to change, things that are troubling you, so you can feel better.

As we go through the process of counselling together,  you may gain a better understanding of yourself and of those around you. There is so much to gain by working together helping you move forward into the direction you choose.

My counselling approach is pluralistic. I believe that each person is unique and because of this you may need different things from therapy. In the process of counselling there are many ways to make a difference. I am trained to work with a range of different therapeutic approaches and draw on them to tailor counselling to your specific needs and wants.

I work with adults and young people from (16 years).

If you feel you are ready for counselling at this moment in time and that I may be the counsellor you would like to work with then you are most welcome to email, text or call me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
