About me

Welcome, my name is Helen.

I help my clients manage and overcome anxiety, constant worrying and overthinking. For many of us, this can manifest as dwelling over things without any obvious reason, having a low mood, feeling not good enough,  being self-conscious,  feeling overwhelmed, panicked, stressed, and fearing being judged.

I work with individuals so that they can feel comfortable to speak up in meetings or present to groups.  They can leave the house without putting up barriers, socialise, try out new hobbies, as well as to set boundaries in both their professional and personal lives. In addition, I assist those who experience overthinking and ruminating, especially at night, helping them to relax and have a restful sleep.

All of us at times can feel stuck or uncertain about our future and unsure of what to do.

Sometimes, we just need a safe space to talk, think, and reflect in order to process what is happening in our lives.

As a therapist, I understand that to reach out can feel daunting, especially during challenging time. However, you do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy, but it is ok if you are.

People can seek therapy for a variety of reasons.

I provide a free initial chat, so you can ask any questions you may have and get a feel to see if I’m the right fit for you.

We can talk online, over the phone, or in person at my practice in London.

Although I am based in London, I work with clients across the UK and around the world, as most of my sessions are conducted via phone or online.

To get started, please email me using the link provided or at https://calendly.com/helen-talk-it-through/30min

I will get back to you so we can arrange an initial chat.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Warm wishes,

Helen

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
