About me

Hi, I'm Hayley, a warm and intuitive Therapist. I specialise in relationship, communication, identity, self esteem and confidence issues.

You may experience negative/critical self talk. You may be feeling overwhelmed but struggling with creating/maintaining boundaries and prioritising your own needs. You may be feeling stuck, confused, lost, overwhelmed or struggling with relationships.

Many of us have unmet childhood needs. Our past can affect how we think, feel and behave in the present. It can influence our perceptions, expectations, view of the world and others.

I work holistically using a variety of theories with an integrative approach to suit each client. This can be through a combination of talking, creative tools or more structured sessions.  Whichever feels right for you. We will work collaboratively at your pace with compassion and understanding,

As clients we are vulnerable and taking the first step can feel daunting at any time. It could be the first time you have accessed therapy or talked about your situation. The thought of saying the words out loud may feel scary. We will work collaboratively at your pace with compassion and understanding.

I value relationship and connection as human beings which is at the very heart of what i do. . 'We are hurt in relationship and we heal in relationship.'  Many studies believe successful therapy places the relationship at the core.

Connecting mind, body and soul by developing compassion, clarity, insight and self awareness .Therapy can help find your voice, facilitate self acceptance, healing, transformation and growth, My belief is we all have the power to heal with the right conditions.

I am passionate about what I do and feel privileged to be able to do this work. To be alongside you, as you walk your own path to create a fulfilling, meaningful and authentic life.

Initial phone conversation
I offer a free 20 minute initial phone conversation where we can discuss what has brought you to therapy
What you may require from our working together.
It's also an opportunity to answer any questions you may have and  decide whether I'm the right Therapist for you.
If we agree we can work together, we can book in a first session.

First session
During the first session we will talk through the therapeutic agreement between us. This is a written document that forms the basis for the way we work and sets out boundaries for our working relationship, confidentiality and legal information.
I will ask some questions regarding your health, background, will look at what is going on for you right now and build on information you have already shared.
To discuss any goals you may have and your aim for therapy. These may and can change as therapy progresses.
Each session will last up to 60 minutes
We will agree time and frequency of subsequent sessions.
Therapy can be short term or long term. There is no limit on the number of sessions.
I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
