About me

Hello, my name is Francesca and thank you for visiting my page. I work with people experiencing many different worries including anxiety, anger, and low self-esteem.

I am an integrative counsellor, meaning that I tailor the way I work to fit your needs.

Our sessions are client led, meaning it is your space and time that can be used exploring whatever you wish to bring, working at a pace that is right for you.

I offer a confidential, safe, and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

I hold the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work together and I approach my work with warmth, honesty and the greatest of care. I create a trusting space, in which you feel supported, valued, and listened to.

“Our grief is as individual as our lives.”

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

I am a bereavement, grief and loss informed counsellor, having undergone training to enhance my knowledge of the different types of grief and loss people can experience and how best to support them.

Grief is often associated with the loss of a loved one, whereas grief can apply to every area of our lives. Anything from losing a precious item to a beloved pet.

I have experienced grief and loss myself and understand these effect everyone in different ways. I understand there is no right or wrong way to process a loss and I offer a space to explore yours with you.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

I am committed to personal and professional development. I undertake regular additional training to enhance my practice, ultimately for the benefit of my clients.

Over the past 6 years, I have been a volunteer counsellor at Mind and Place2be (supporting children from the age of 5-12 years old). I have also been a listening volunteer at Samaritans.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
