About me

I have experience of providing 1:1 counselling to clients from a variety of backgrounds I am available during late afternoons, evenings and weekends. I offer Face to face sessions, online sessions via Skype, Zoom, Teams or Google Meet or via a telephone call. I also offer a Chat session. 

I also offer specialist support for children aged between 10 and 17 years old with a range of issues i.e. abuse, anger, self harm, depression, bereavement, bullying, suicidal ideation, family breakdown.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Counsellor/Therapist working with a variety of clients from different backgrounds on a range of issues that range from anger, self-harm, trauma, anxiety, loss, depression, bipolar, bereavement, sexual abuse, suicidal ideation, violence, risk taking behaviour, family breakdown, gender issues and sexuality.

I also use a number of different therapies including Person Centred, CBT, Solution Focussed, Psychodynamic, Existentialism and Play Therapy to support clients that would benefit from different ways of working. I now also offer Family Therapy sessions that can support the whole family that may have been impacted upon.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I also offer online counselling services via Vsee which is a type of video link similar to Skype and also an encrypted email service is available via Prontonmail and weekly or more frequent email responses can be arranged. I also offer Instant Messaging via Vsee as well, which is also available tailored to your needs.

If you decide to go ahead and would like to book some counselling sessions then the sessions will last for 50mins at a cost of £50.

Or you can make a block booking of 6 sessions for a discounted rate.

Concessions for Key Workers, Student Counsellors, unemployed or on a low income also apply.

I am a member of the BACP and I abide by the Code of Ethics and regularly have supervision sessions to support my work with clients so I am always offering a safe and quality service to them. I also have to attend training courses throughout the year to continue my professional development.

I also offer online services via Vsee which is similar to Skype including one to one sessions, which can be arranged.
