About me

Are you experiencing the weight of low mood, anxiety, or the complexities of strained relationships? Life's challenges can be overwhelming, and seeking support is a courageous step towards a brighter future. You're not alone in this journey; I’m here to help you find your way back to happiness and well-being.

About Me and My Practice:

I'm a BACP registered Integrative-Relational Counsellor, and I'm dedicated to providing you with a safe and compassionate space for healing. My approach is grounded in a rich theoretical framework, allowing us to explore your unique struggles from various angles, through a lens that speaks to you. Yet, what truly drives my practice is the belief that genuine transformation happens through human connection and trust.

How Therapy Works:

In our therapeutic relationship, your emotions are welcomed and respected without judgment, offering you the freedom to explore the parts of yourself that often remain hidden. As we work together, we'll delve into your personal journey, examining your current circumstances and their connections to your past. Understanding the impact of your formative relationships and upbringing can reveal fresh opportunities and a deeper sense of vitality.

Seeking support can be intimidating, especially when considering therapy for the first time. It's absolutely normal to feel uncertain or apprehensive. My mission is to ensure you feel safe and supported. Book an Introductory Call at your convenience, or reach out to me via email.

Areas I Can Help With:

I specialise in a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to:

Depression and Low Mood

Anxiety and Stress

Relationship Challenges

Grief and Loss

Coping with Life Changes

Adverse Childhood Experiences

Work-Related Stress

Burnout

Infertility, Pregnancy, and Miscarriage

Identity, Gender, and Sexuality

Next Steps:

If you're interested in exploring counselling with me, please reach out. I offer a complimentary fifteen-minute telephone conversation to help you get a sense of what it's like to work with me and to answer any questions you may have. If you decide to begin counselling, we'll schedule an initial session to discuss your concerns and goals. We can agree on a specific number of sessions or opt for longer-term therapy, and we'll regularly review our progress to ensure we're aligned with your therapeutic goals.

Counselling sessions are held weekly for fifty minutes. Daytime sessions take place in a confidential setting within my home in St Margarets. I also have limited availability for evening sessions, held at The Practice Rooms near Twickenham Green. The session fee is £60, and I offer a limited number of slots at a concessionary rate for those with low income. I work with adults over the age of 18.

Don't hesitate to get in touch to discuss availability.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BA(Hons) degree in Integrative-Relational Counselling, with first class honours, from Middlesex University. I am a Registered member of the BACP and I abide by their code of ethics. I am committed to enriching my practice through regular, and relevant, continuing professional development.

I have experience of working within the NHS and in private practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
