Whether it is our relationship with ourselves or those with whom we’ve grown up, live, or work, we need to feel loved, safe and respected on order to thrive. If we’re undervaluing ourselves; in a couple relationship that feels like our partner has become the enemy; feeling judged by a parent or sibling; or in conflict with a colleague at work, we are unlikely to experience the sense of connection we long for and deserve. We can change things for the better!
I am a professionally qualified counsellor and Registered Member of BACP, working in private practice in the Cobham area. I offer a safe, relaxed, non-judgemental and confidential environment in which to talk things through and explore possibilities.
I specialise in relationship counselling/psychotherapy, working with couples, individuals, families, and work colleagues, addressing relationship issues and difficulties such as depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, affairs, family issues, separation and divorce, trust and communication. We can work together on a short-term basis for specific issues or longer term for deeper, transformative work.
I recognise that people experience problems but that people are not the problem! I will work with you to discover new ways of understanding difficulties, and of addressing them in keeping with your own unique values and preferred ways of living.
It can feel scary to talk to someone about what most deeply concerns us. You are welcome to contact me for a free exploratory conversation about counselling if you wish to discuss its potential benefits or have any questions.
I serve postcodes KT11, KT10, KT13, KT17, KT22, KT23, KT24, RH4 and surrounding areas.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space in which you can talk about your life and relationships. We can work together towards a better understanding of any difficulties you might be experiencing, to create positive changes in your life and to help you attain the full measure of support and fulfilment from your relationships. We will work with whatever you wish to bring to the sessions and at your own pace.

Some comments from people who have worked with me
'From our first meeting, you made me feel very comfortable and I felt that you really heard and understood me. You blended validation of my feelings with gentle challenging of my assumptions and helped me to see things in ways that I hadn't been able to on my own. I am grateful for the work we did together and feel much happier and healthier for it.'
'Things really seem to have settled down nicely and we are finding better ways to communicate and feeling a lot more like a couple again. The experience of working with you has really helped, you helped us through a very rocky time and we can't thank you enough.'
- Steve and Louise

'We have been amazed by the difference counselling has made to our relationship. You have helped us through a really difficult time and your insight and understanding have helped us to see past our problems and enjoy each other again. We feel that our relationship is better now than it has ever been!'
- Tom and Sally
'Let me say once more how much our counsellor-client relationship has meant to me. Working with you literally changed my life, wholly for the better, and I will always treasure that experience. Although that time of my life was undeniably painful and difficult, I now look at it as a time of tremendous growth and a necessary step on the way to a life I'm so much happier with. I can't thank you enough for being by my side throughout that journey.'
