About me
Hello, I'm Elizabeth, a fully qualified and widely experienced BACP-accredited counsellor offering counselling to adults.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, stuck, or difficult, and we may need support to get through these times. It can be hard to speak to those close to us. You might want to be heard, need help understanding your emotions, or seek support for past or present challenges.
I provide a safe, confidential space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and centred on building a trusting relationship.
Therapy can help you understand yourself, your patterns of behaviour, and your relationships. It can help you heal from past experiences and, in turn, develop coping strategies and build resilience. You are not alone in this process, and together we can work towards a sense of well-being and greater satisfaction in your life.
I have a lot of experience in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. I also have considerable experience working with those who are neurodivergent or navigating a related diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, or AuDHD.
I offer one-on-one sessions, either for a set period or on an open-ended basis, depending on your needs.
If you would like to speak to me, we can arrange an initial call. Please either ring, message or email me.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a First-class BA (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling from Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University, along with a Clinical Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from Metanoia Institute. I also have a Certificate in Supervision from Metanoia Institute in London and have completed Level 2 training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) with APT.
With over 10 years of counselling experience, I have worked in various settings, including the NHS, hospice, community services, university counselling service, and private practice. During the Covid-19 pandemic in London, I provided counselling to NHS staff and bereaved clients during a challenging and unprecedented time.
In addition to my private practice, I currently work as a supervisor for a Schools Counselling Service, supporting the professional development of other counsellors.
I enjoy working with individuals exploring or living with ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, and dyslexia. Over the years, I have supported many clients in navigating the unique challenges these aspects of life present, from the impact on daily life to the complexities of personal, social, and professional relationships. While I cannot formally diagnose or assess, I bring an understanding and a depth of experience in helping individuals manage and thrive in their lives.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
