About me

'YOUR SAFE SPACE' COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY

Hello, Life can be tough and overwhelming at times, cant it? In these particularly difficult times  do you need someone you can  talk to who can help you gain a better understanding of your thoughts, anxieties and feelings and the challenging issues in your life without fear of being judged?

Choosing the right counsellor for you is very important so I offer a free initial 15-minute phone consultation,   without obligation, so we can discuss what you are needing from counselling and how I can best support you. This will help us decide if we can work together in the future. Call, text or email me and we can arrange an appointment .

How can counselling help ?

People come for counselling for many reasons.  Anxiety and stress, relationship issues, depression, loneliness, loss and life changes affecting our sense of identity, are just some examples. Also trauma in the past or uncertainty about the future can make us feel stuck affecting daily life. Being able to talk to someone who will really listen  to you with compassion, in a safe, confidential space can really help.

What I Can Offer You

I believe you are unique and the expert on your own life. With a friendly and warm  approach I am there to use my training and experience to support you.

At 'Your Safe Space Counselling' I can provide you with non-judgemental support , within a confidential space where you can explore feelings and thoughts which may be troubling you.

Every aspect of you is important, body, mind, emotions and spirit.

All your thoughts and feelings are welcome without shame within our therapeutic relationship.  At your own pace, together we can gradually explore your difficulties, needs and relationships helping you discover new insights and understanding for yourself. This can help you live more fully in the present with hope for the future.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
