About me

I am an experienced NCPS registered therapist who takes an integrative approach to therapy. My practice integrates a variety of different theories and approaches, creating a bespoke program for each client. I understand that people are so individual which highlights the importance of being able to work in different ways as one size does not fit all.

I also offer counselling for young people, particularly those struggling with anxiety around school. I understand that school can bring up many different issues for our children and it is incredibly hard to find support and counselling that can be put in place quickly. I do offer a reduced rate for teens looking for counselling. I will also do my very best see them as quickly as possible. The issues that are created in school today seem to be the carry on into adulthood and I want to do my part to help stop this happening.

I worked at  New Romney counselling services for 7 years offering counselling to a variety of different people with many different needs. This has given me a great amount of experience in lots of different areas. I feel it is so important to be able to reach people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to access counselling. More recently I have done some work with an online platform which has helped me gain a lot more experience with working online. Again, this has enabled me to reach people that I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to.

I offer sessions in my therapy room overlooking beautiful fields. The area is safe and comfortable and my aim is that you feel supported enough to be able to work through and process any issues, fears or difficulties you may be having. The environment is confidential and non-judgemental. I work with the view that the client is the expert. l am here to listen and to understand. I am also happy to offer online counselling and over the phone for those who are unable to get out.

I have had many different people ask me if therapy really works. How can just talking help me? The relationship between client and counsellor is very unique this gives the client space to really explore who they are without being given advice or hearing another person's views. For the 50 minutes that my client spends with me, it is all about them, their thoughts, their feelings and their goals.

I offer a free initial session, which will give you the opportunity to ask any questions and hear more details about the way I work. The therapeutic relationship is so important for success I feel these first no-obligation sessions are imperative to finding the right therapist.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I wish you all the very best in your search for change. 🦋
