About me

I am experienced in working with anxiety and overwhelm. With a particular focus on working with are Neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia etc). You don’t need to be at breaking point before you ask for help. Email me for a free 15 minute consultation.

Well done for getting here, I know reaching out for support can be hard. I imagine that you have arrived here because you are looking for some support at a challenging time.

Life can become overwhelming at times and we can benefit from having someone outside of our immediate circle to talk to, to explore our problems and untangle our worries. I offer a safe space to start your exploration.

I offer counselling, psychotherapy and brainspotting therapy allowing you the space to talk through your issues.

How I Work

I use a theory called Transactional Analysis (TA) which is a way of exploring how our childhood decisions impact how we see the world today. TA is based around the idea that all people are fundamentally ‘ok’ and equal in their humanness.

I believe that being seen and heard is incredibly healing. I work relationally, which means that the relationship between client and therapist is at the heart of the therapeutic experience. A sense of connection and the experience of being understood enables a safe space to explore the challenges and difficulties life can present.

I come from an Arts background and use creativity in therapy sessions if this resonates with you.

I have regular clinical supervision with a qualified supervisor to ensure that I am supported in providing you with the best possible service.

To take the next step please email me for a free initial consultation. We can then agree on a weekly time slot that suits you to begin our work together if you wish to do so.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

UKATA

Further information

I offer Counselling, Psychotherapy and Brainspotting.

Counselling and Psychotherapy are talking therapies, being truly listened to and heard can be impactful and healing. Therapy sessions allow you time to share your story and talk about your concerns in a confidential and non-judgemental space.

Counselling - listening and supporting you to access your own ability to come to terms with challenging life events.

Psychotherapy - exploring ingrained patterns of behaviour, feelings and thoughts to enable you to make positive changes in your life.

Brainspotting - based on the idea that where you look affects how you feel. Uses eye-gaze to help access unprocessed trauma in the brain.

I can help you with a range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Anger
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Low self-esteem
  • Issues at work
  • Building self-awareness
