About me
Do you feel stuck, maybe with low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or with things from your past holding you back? Do you feel lonely, lost, uncertain or unable to make decisions for fear of making the wrong choice? Do you need support to see clearly and communicate effectively? Are you struggling with addiction, anxiety or depression? Are you feeling low or worthless? Are you finding it hard to come to terms with grief, loss, divorce, infidelity, or abuse? I have supported clients through these and other issues, and I will support you in a non-judgmental way through whatever you're facing.
I work with children aged 7+, individual teens and adults, and couples. I offer face to face to face and outdoor therapy as well as telephone and online counselling. If you work shifts or have commitments, you don't need to book the same time slot each week.
I offer a supported, safe and comfortable environment to explore your issues without fear of being judged. No problem is too big or small, we can tackle it together. Please feel free to contact me if you feel like we could work together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am qualified to a Diploma level in therapeutic counselling. I have run a successful private practice for over 3 years and also volunteered for 2 years at a charity run counselling service for carers based in Warrington. I have experience of working in a variety of ways including face to face to face appointments and outdoor therapy. I also have extensive experience of counselling via the telephone and through online sessions.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
