About me

I offer a supportive, inclusive and creative space dedicated to you; where you can unlock your unique potential to find meaning and forge transformation. I meet, in-person, with clients in both London E8 (Near London Fields Overground Station) and SE26 (Near: Sydenham Station). I also work with clients from around the U.K. and the World, online.

You may have clear goals, be dealing with challenging thoughts, feelings and behaviours in the present - or echoing from the past. Or you may feel like something is just not right. I can help.

I work from a humanistic orientation (I believe everyone has their unique resources to foster transformation, even though it may not feel this way when we're struggling). Depending on your needs and goals, we may work with Existential (exploring ambiguity & unease) or Gestalt (amplifying Awareness, catalyzing creativity & expanding possibilities) therapy approaches and/or with more pragmatic approaches (e.g. CBT, MCBT, Distress Management). I can adopt a trauma-informed approach; depending on what you need.

I am both an LGBTQIA+ Affirmative and QTIPOC-allied therapist.

I work creatively; I have 25+ years working as an artist and in product & service innovation with Nokia, Samsung & the BBC - which informs my approach.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy (University of East London), a Postgraduate Certificate in Humanistic & Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy (Goldsmiths University) and introductory training in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (Oxford Mindfulness Centre). I am constantly evolving my skills and practice; training in Couples Therapy during 2024.

I have been working as a counsellor with the Terrence Higgins Trust, London for over two years. Previously I worked with clients via St. Joseph's Hospice in Hackney, East London.

I have an MSc. in Human-computer Interaction and Ergonomics (School of Brain Sciences, UCL) and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have experience of working with clients who have a sense of being 'stuck' and/or who feel a lack of autonomy and/or creativity - in their work or non-work lives. Regarding work, especially I work with challenges in various and precarious contemporary work cultures and contexts.

I may work with you employing Existential, Gestalt and or Narrative therapy techniques in relation to the above.

I can also work with you utilising Ecotherapy ideas and techniques.
