About me

I provide a welcoming, safe, and non-judgemental space, where we can discuss and collaboratively work towards sustainable changes. I strive to create an environment where everyone feels heard, comfortable sharing their feelings, and confident that their voice matters in our shared journey together. My experiences, like being adopted and facing early losses, shaped my skills and deepened my passion for diversity and inclusion. At the core of my practice is the aim to provide a space where each client feels genuinely seen and understood. Memories from my youth, especially times when I felt voiceless about my anxieties, drive my dedication.

Training, qualifications & experience

I underwent my counselling training at Metanoia Institute and earned a BSc in Pluralistic Person-Centred Counselling (Advanced Practitioner).

I also have extensive. experience in care environments, assisting adults grappling with dementia and mental health issues. In this capacity, I've helped families navigating anxieties, depression, and coping with bereavement and assisted staff in coping with loss, stress, and personal family challenges.

I worked with Samaritans, dedicated to providing emotional support to individuals in crisis. During my time with them, I actively contributed to their mission of offering a compassionate and empathetic ear to those in need, helping them navigate difficult situations and providing a listening presence during challenging times.

I am currently working in the NHS and engaged in educational activities involving university students aged 16 and older.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
