Charlotte Eastham MBACP, Counselling Psychotherapist, In COURAGE Counselling
I believe that one of the most courageous things that you can do during difficult times is to seek support. Whether this be due to difficult family dynamics, relationship breakdown, work stress, illness or loss, allowing yourself the space and time to process your experiences, gain insight and greater self awareness, is one of the greatest gifts that you can give to yourself and those you love.
My approach to counselling is relational, led with empathy and compassion, from one human to another. I understand symptoms (such as anxiety, depression etc) as 'messages' that something needs to be worked through and expressed, and so it is important to honour the 'whole' person and their whole life story: exploring unconscious and early experiences and relationships that may have affected your present difficulties, as well as the emotional and conscious experiences of body, feelings, mind and soul.
My Role & Outcomes
My role is to journey alongside you, at your pace, as you process experiences and aspects of your life; guiding you to untangle the past from the present, heal from history, and expand your vision of who you really are and all that you can become. The therapeutic process presents opportunity for life-long transformation, with increased emotional resilience and capacity to manage life challenges. Clients are empowered to own their story, grow from challenge and move forward in courage.
How I Work
I hold my private practice from my Summer House in my garden, providing a discreet, comfortable and confidential space. There is free parking and easy access.
Working one-to-one with individuals, I offer short-term and open-ended counselling, as well as therapeutic coaching programmes tailored to each client's unique needs.
