Admitting you're not OK and that you need some support is very difficult. It has taken courage for you to be here today reading my profile.
When looking at a sea of counsellor profiles it can feel confusing and overwhelming. I have tried to use headers and bullet points to make it easier for you to gather information you may be searching for. However, if you're left with questions or uncertainty please do contact me, I'm happy to answer all of your questions and concerns.
What I Offer:
- A confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment.
- Short-term or open ended Counselling
Age I Can Work With:
- Anyone over the age of 12 years old.
How I work:
As an Integrative Counsellor, I work in a number of ways. I am able to pull on strings of counselling approaches and tailor therapy to your individual needs, ensuring you get the most out of your counselling journey.
I am predominantly person-centered which means that I work at your pace and ensure we work on what you (the client) wants to work on. This approach gives you the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings whilst being empathically understood in a safe environment.
I also work Psychodynamically which means we can work with your past, explore your self-awareness and understand how past events influence present behaviours.
I offer a FREE 20 minute appointment which is an opportunity to get a feel how I work. This is also where I can find out more about you and what you want to gain from counselling with me. From here we can decide if I'm the right counsellor for you and how we can best work together.
If this sounds like the type of Counselling you're wanting please don't hesitate to contact me. You can either send me an email, text or call me. I will respond to all as soon as I can (usually the same day).

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Initial Contact - Free
I offer a free 20 minute telephone call or Zoom meet. This is an opportunity for you to ask me any questions and get a feel of me and how I work. I understand some people are uncomfortable on the telephone or video call so I am open to this communication being done via email. This is also an opportunity for me to get an idea of your struggles and decide if an assessment would be suitable.
These sessions are on a set day and at a set time. However, for those that work shift patterns if availability allows I will work around this. These sessions are 50 minutes.
*Concessions are available for students/apprentices, people on low income and people who are in receipt of benefits or a pension*
Monday - Friday: Day and Evening appointments
I try to reply to all enquiries the same day; this may differ if an enquiry is received late at night or over the weekend.
I work from a cabin in my garden. It's a quiet location with ample free parking. The area is accessible by bus but there is a short, up-hill walk from the bus stop to the cabin.
I am able to offer sessions at the Bedwell Community Centre if an access ramp is required.
