Admitting you're not OK and that you need some support is very difficult and it is important that we acknowledge the courage it took.
I am able to offer you a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment.
I am able to work with anyone over the age of 12 years old and there is no age limit.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor. This means that I work in a number of ways but I predominantly cover Person-centered and Psychodynamic. I am also trained in Existential therapy and I have some knowledge of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
Being able to pull on strings of approaches means I am able to tailor therapy to individuals ensuring you get the most out of your counselling journey.
Being predominantly person-centered means that I work at your pace and ensure we work on what you (the client) wants to work on. This approach gives you the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings and be empathically understood in a safe environment.
Pulling in Psychodynamic means that we work with your past, look at your self-awareness and understanding of how past events influence present behaviours.
Counselling can be short-term or open ended.
We will meet for an initial assessment first. This is where I can find out more about you and what you want to gain from counselling with me. You will also find out more about the counselling I provide.
From here we can decide if I'm the right counsellor for you and how we can best work together.
If this sounds like the type of Counselling you're after please don't hesitate to contact me. I am happy to answer any of the questions you have. You can either send me an email, text or call me. I will respond to all as soon as I can (usually the same day).

The assessment gives us space to meet. I can find out more about you and what brings you to counselling and you can find out more about me and ask me any questions. We then decide if we can work together to achieve your goal.
Concessions are available for students and those on low income and/or are in receipt of benefits so please don't hesitate to request a lower fee if required.
Please be prepared to bring evidence of your eligibility for low cost sessions to your assessment.
I am currently able to offer counselling at 2 different locations around Stevenage. The locations are listed below with information relating to them.
Behind Barnaby Florist
A photo of this lovely room is further down this profile page. It is easily accessible via bus and is a fairly short walk from the train station. There are free parking bays along the high street and at the back of the high street. Please read the signs carefully as there are parking wardens monitoring the area. There is also a relatively cheap car park at the back of the Old Town where you pay upon leaving.
Wedgewood Way, Pin Green Industrial Estate
There is a room within a music studio that I have access to and again is easily accessible via bus. Unfortunately parking can be a bit more difficult. Opposite Formula One there are no double yellow lines so you can park there or there are limited space behind the unit we will be meeting in.
I am able to offer sessions at the Bedwell Community Centre if an access ramp is required.
