About me

I help people to consciously connect to their authentic self, facilitating meaningful change through a blend of psychotherapy and coaching.

It takes courage...

...To seek support during times of uncertainty and stress. Allowing yourself the time and space to process and heal is not luxury or self indulgent, it is fundamental self care. Seeking support is the first empowering step.

My Approach

With over a decade of experience in the field of psychotherapy, I have served hundreds of clients through trauma recovery, heartbreak and healing. My soul-centred approach integrates trauma-informed psycho-education with spiritual perspectives of consciousness and wholeness, to cultivate the inner leadership needed to create purposeful change.

How I can support you

My role is to journey alongside you, at your pace, as you process experiences and aspects of your life; guiding you to untangle the past from the present, heal from history, and expand your vision to become the fullest expression of your true potential.

I work with client's presenting with anxiety, depression, crisis of identity, work-related stress, relationship struggles, feelings of sadness, loneliness, heartbreak and all other human dilemmas.

By exploring unconscious mindsets, early experiences and relationship dynamics, I help you to identify the cause of these symptoms and cultivate conscious choices that facilitate authentic integrity and inner transformation.

How I Work

I am currently working both online and in person.  Online working has proven to be as effective and also comes with the added convenience and comfort of your own space. For clients who are local, you are welcome to my private practice, held in a dedicated therapy room in my house, providing a discreet, comfortable and confidential space. Daytime and evening appointments are available and there is free private parking.

The first step

I offer a FREE 20 minute introductory call so that you can ask any questions you may have and find out further information. If you then feel comfortable, we will arrange a 50 minute Initial Session that enables you to experience what it is like working together. If you decide you would like to continue, we then agree a regular time on an open-ended basis (there is no restriction to the number of sessions, client's are welcome to stay for as long as they feel beneficial).

I offer two types of therapeutic support:

Individual Psychotherapy

Open-ended 1:1 psychotherapy for individuals, supporting authentic self reflection on your innermost feelings, life history and the impact of emotional traumas.

Couples Therapy

Open-ended counselling for couples. A co-creative process that seeks to serve both you and your partner navigate the dance of relationship; whether you are in conflict and facing challenge, or want to deepen your connection together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am multidisciplinary psychotherapist and coach, having qualified in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Couples Counselling and Psychosynthesis Coaching.

I also have an MA in Leadership and Organisational Coaching, specialising in trauma-informed leadership. I continually study neuroscience, attachment theory, trauma recovery, existential crisis, mind-body connection and embodied leadership.

I founded my private practice 'Be Conscious' based just outside of Milton Keynes and am also the co-founder of the NYCP (Network for Younger Counsellors & Psychotherapists), a community that champions millennial mental health professionals. I am a BACP Registered Member having passed their Certificate of Proficiency and committed to working within their Ethical framework. My qualifications and further training weaves together psychodynamic theory with psychospiritual psychology, infusing sessions to guide you in developing self-compassion, emotional intelligence, body-awareness and a sense of life meaning and purpose.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
