About me

Thank you for looking at my profile. I offer youth, adult and couples counselling. In addition, I also offer family therapy and mediation.

Starting counselling can be a daunting process, especially if you haven't been to therapy before. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I have an integrative practice, meaning I use different counselling models and techniques which enable me to tailor our sessions based on your individual needs. I often work with personality disorders, emotional dysregulation and anxiety and offer coping skills, strategies and psychoeducation alongside my person-centred core.

Individual therapy – I offer confidential counselling for adults for a variety of mental health needs. Together, we would explore your emotions, recognising and detangling the psychological knots. We would work to understand what is going on for you and the changes you wish to see.

Youth therapy (11+) – I am experienced in offering mental health support to young people struggling with their teenage years and beyond. Sometimes young people need to explore their complex emotions in a trusting, unbiased relationship as well as develop coping skills and resilience. It can be difficult for young people to engage therefore I offer creative therapy solutions. I am thoroughly DBS checked and up to date in all safeguarding procedures.

Relationship counselling – In couples therapy, your relationship is the focus of our work together. I offer a respectful, empathetic and non-judgemental environment for you to explore the issues in your relationship. With a systemic focus, we would look at ways to rebuild/reinvent your relationship.

Family mediation – Perhaps your family dynamics aren't working as they once were. I offer non–legal family mediation where young people and their families are encouraged to explore and understand their differences. Families can find ways to manage their disputes by discussing tensions in their relationship and agreeing on ways to move forward. I am fully accredited by the IMI

REWIND and Trauma - I am trained in REWIND therapy, a technique used to treat PTSD and other trauma-related conditions. It involves guiding individuals through a process that aims to reduce the emotional intensity associated with the traumatic memory to alleviate symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares and anxiety. REWIND can be a stand-alone therapy and involves 3 sessions.

I offer a set programme for those struggling with the symptoms BPD. Please see my website for further details.

Our relationship is at the centre of our work together; therefore, I offer a free 30-minute appointment to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you. I can see clients face to face in Winslow, virtually, or, if the school setting will allow, at a young person's place of education.
