About me
Counselling Sessions
Life can be a struggle at times, but I am here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your concerns. I believe it’s a privilege to be with you through your most challenging moments. With over 20 years of experience working with vulnerable adults, children, young people, and families, I have gained insight into how determined, resilient and empowered people can be.
In our sessions, I will work with you to understand your unique life journey and enhance your self-awareness. Together, we will explore your challenges and establish your goals for counselling, focusing on meaningful life changes.
I support you in examining the issues that matter most, helping you understand your emotions and take responsibility for your thoughts and actions. This process will enable you to discover your motivations, find your own solutions, and overcome unhelpful behaviour patterns. It’s essential for you to feel comfortable expressing yourself, and I promise to provide empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard throughout our work together.
As someone with lived experience of chronic health conditions, visual impairment, and functional neurological disorders, including non-epileptic seizures, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges you may face.
Couples Counselling
I offer couples counselling sessions lasting 60 minutes. This service is a valuable opportunity for partners aiming to improve their relationship. Our sessions provide a safe environment to discuss feelings, concerns, and challenges without judgment. You will learn effective communication skills, gain insight into each other's perspectives, and work collaboratively through conflicts. Attending couples counselling demonstrates your commitment to enhancing your relationship and growing together.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
