About me

Actually, let me ask about you…what you are feeling right now?  Afraid and worried, struggling with a childhood experience that continues to impact your life, you’ve lost someone, or do you feel stuck, lost or misunderstood?

I hear you! I feel you!  I’ve been where you are so I have an idea.  You want to connect with someone who gets it and I do.  It’s hard to make a big decision on who to trust with your personal stuff by reading a profile but I’m hopeful you connect with me.

It’s like trying to finding the right bra size or picking a good pair of trainers. What? I hear you say.  Well, think about it...you need good support, a comfortable fit, durability and room to grow.

As your professionally qualified, registered, DBS checked, insured counsellor, that's what I’m offering you!  A safe, confidential space to build a trusting relationship, to share your experiences with real talk, honesty, acceptance and room for learning, growth and exploring your possibilities and potential.

It may take a little or a long time but I will support you at a pace that works for you. I will listen to understand, be careful with your vulnerability, accept without judgement and patiently help you make sense of the past, while you navigate the present.

I offer to several ways to access therapy for your emotional needs and I can support you with:

  • social and general anxiety
  • low mood and depression
  • bereavement and grief
  • loss and loneliness
  • low self-esteem and self-confidence
  • relationship problems on an individual basis
  • communication difficulties
  • peer and parent pressures
  • abuse and trauma
  • toxic relationships
  • or if you just need someone to listen…

We can talk about whatever you want, if I can help, I will.

Call, email or go to my website.  Take a look around and when you're ready to make sense of your thoughts and explore your possibilities, get in touch.

I look forward to 'fitting' you in!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
