About me

Hello, my name is Annie and I'm here to support you! I am an Integrative Holistic Psychotherapist. All this means is that I use a range of somatic, cognitive and creative techniques to help strengthen mind and body connection so you can start to understand yourself and manage the world around you. I offer you a safe space for you to talk and process whatever it is you need to.

I am also a trauma informed breathwork facilitator and yoga teacher and can either work with talking therapy or integrate breath, movement or creativity to support your journey.

I specialise in trauma and have vast experience working with anxiety/disconnection/ shame/ childhood trauma/ sexual violence/ burn out/ self worth, which means I pull on many different theories to support you.

As a psychotherapist, I integrate my in-depth understanding of the body and human psychology to facilitate meaningful transformation. I strongly believe that you and your body hold all the answers, and together we can safely support your process.

My bespoke approach focuses on finding an outcome that feels good for you, it’s not about forcing anything, it’s about meeting you where you are whilst looking at where you desire to be.

I offer two types of sessions that can be interwoven if needed:

Counselling and Psychotherapy Sessions: 60mins: These sessions tend to start as talking therapy with the invitation to bring different techniques if you wish. These sessions are a great starting point to understand yourself, process and heal through spoken words.

Breathwork and Counselling: Range from 60-90mins: Alternating between active breathwork sessions and talking therapy to connect with the emotional body while processing through talking. I ask that you commit to this process for 3 months.

Please note that some of the breathwork sessions take place in Halton in the River Room Yoga and Wellbeing Studio. Other sessions take place in Lancaster. I also offer online sessions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
