About me

I specialise in trauma work, abuse, substance misuse and neuro-divergent counselling services, however I work with a very wide range of issues: depression, anxiety, anger, bereavement, bullying, self esteem, relationships, stress, women's services.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, confused, or anxious, know that you're not alone. It's understandable to feel scared, depressed, or sad, and it can be difficult to know where to start on the path towards healing. That's why I offer a warm and supportive therapeutic space where you can feel heard, seen, and understood.I believe in the power of compassion and non-judgmental listening. You don't have to face your struggles alone - I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey, offering unconditional positive regard and helping you make sense of your overwhelming emotions. I am fully insured and a member of BACP.

I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Gestalt, mindfulness, breath work, and art therapy. These approaches offer unique and powerful tools for exploring and processing emotions, gaining insight into patterns of behaviour and thought, and fostering personal growth and transformation. Whether you prefer talk therapy, creative expression, or a combination of approaches, I can work with you to find the modalities that best suit your needs and goals. It's important to note that everyone's experience with therapy and these modalities is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Gestalt Counselling and have been seeing clients since 2022.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
