Face-to-face or online psychological therapy using simple secure online video technology.
If you are suffering with anxiety, depression, trauma-related difficulties, complex PTSD, complex trauma, relational difficulties or difficulties regulating your emotions, then I hope to be able to help you.
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I am an integrative therapist, which means that I am trained in and use multiple therapeutic approaches in my practice, and adapt the therapy to an individual's needs. I have a specialist training in psychodynamic therapy - Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) which works at a profoundly experiential level and transformative change can come about relatively swiftly compared to more traditional psychoanalytic approaches. I have also received training in DBT.

- Low mood/depression - difficulties enjoying activities, tearful, lethargy, withdrawing from others

- Working with those who have experienced trauma/abuse

- Working with individuals to help them to become more assertive
I am committed to working with individuals to develop a safe, non-judgemental, and supportive therapeutic relationship between client and therapist, through which feelings and difficulties can be explored.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been working in psychological services since 2006 within public, academic and private contexts. I regularly partake in continuing professional development (CPD) to keep my knowledge and skills up to date.
Qualifications
- 2018-2021- IEDTA-accredited core training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)
- Associate Fellow of British Psychological Society (AFBPsS).
- Chartered Psychologist Status Achieved (C.Psychol), British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psy), University of Exeter.
- Psychology BSc (Hons) 1st Class, University of Wales, Cardiff.
Member organisations
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Online video therapy sessions using ‘Zoom’ are 50 minutes long.
Please contact me by email or telephone for an initial conversation to see whether the therapy I offer might be of help to you. If you think it might be, then we can meet for an initial assessment appointment to decide whether my style of work suits your needs.
The initial assessment session costs £125.00 (1hr 15min) and would usually include an assessment summary letter written to your GP if you choose for this to happen. Ongoing therapy sessions are charged at £100.00 per session.
If I am not the right professional for you, there is no obligation for you to see me for further appointments and I will endeavour to point you towards a source of help that meets your needs
