About me

I provide face to face counselling from my home in Sevenoaks, and I work online via Zoom. I can also provide a hybrid of online and face to face counselling.

I have been working as a counsellor since 2018 providing counselling both in person and online. I trained with Mind and subsequently, I have worked in both the NHS in a GP practice and in private practice.

I am a trauma focused therapist and I am experienced working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety and depression, low mood, irritation, dissatisfaction in relationships, poor sleep, loneliness, despair and loss of hope.

I help you make sense of what has happened in your life to bring you to this point where you have decided to try counselling, but also a lot of our work is about understanding your present day to day life ... what is working for you, and what isn't ... we unpick all of this so that you can make choices going forwards in your life that are appropriate to you and your life.

I also know the value of being listened to. Talking therapy is highly effective in managing a variety of mental health difficulties. You may think, how can talking change anything? You might find that talking to someone who know how to actively listen changes you.

I am passionate about personal development. I can support you with this. I want to share my knowledge and experience with you, and support you to thrive.

Counselling is a partnership and no two client/counsellor relationships are the same because we are all unique and what we co-create will reflect what we both bring to the relationship. I think counselling is really special, it is a relationship where you are at the centre. It is an opportunity to explore and develop yourself outside of the obligations and dynamics in your other relationships.

If you would like to find out more, I would be delighted to hear from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
