Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2001 and since this time I have worked in a variety of health fields within the NHS. I have experience within the mental health setting but I have also worked with clients with learning disabilities and physical health issues. I have enhanced CRB disclosure.
I decided to train as a counsellor / psychotherapist as I could see that this type of counselling works!!! It combines the most effective skills and techniques with the most up-to-date psychological and scientifically-based knowledge, to relieve emotional distress. It can help you move on as quickly as possible.
I offer fast, effective and practical help using the Human Givens approach. I believe counselling should be a positive experience and not dwell unduly on the past, label people or use 'psychobabble' language. People are often surprised that long standing issues can be improved relatively quickly with little or no distress. My aim is for you to leave each consultation feeling calmer, more confident and in control, with the tools and skills you need to fulfil your potential.
I look forward to hearing from you.
