About me
I’m a Person-centred Counsellor and believe you are the expert on you. I won’t judge you and will help put you at ease so that you can work at your own pace without any pressure.
I have worked successfully with people from many walks of life with a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues and loss. You may have experienced life changing challenges due to ill health, experience of family members with narcissistic traits, the loss of a loved one or the end of a long-term relationship, physical and emotional abuse, current or past.
Perhaps you feel you have low self-esteem and know you wish to please others rather than putting yourself first and would like this to change. Perhaps you feel your confidence has been knocked by others in a work environment and you want to build this back up.
Whatever is going on for you, I know it is important that you feel listened to and understood. We will work together in a way that suits you and review this regularly so that I can be sure I am supporting you the best way I can.
I bring my lived experience to my counselling work. I have held numerous leadership roles and gained extensive experience within human resources. I have a deep understanding of challenges presented by the workplace on mental health and am also a qualified coach, supporting people to achieve their personal potential.
I offer you a safe space to talk where I will listen to you carefully offering plenty of warmth and a down to earth approach. We will work together to explore your current thoughts and feelings to help you clarify where you are right now and what is important to you to find your way forwards and become more in control of your current circumstances and life.
I believe it’s key to find a counsellor that you feel comfortable to work with. Please feel free to contact me for a chat to see if we can work together.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
