About me

Hello,

⭐️ I offer HALF PRICE for the first informative session

My name is Alice, welcome here :-)  If you have been feeling worried, anxious, or depressed, or you’ve recently found out that you have diagnosis of ADHD, autism or another health condition and you are not sure how to cope with that, you are in the right place.

Or if you would like to improve your self-esteem and learn how to manage your emotions, relationships, your life in general in a way that you would feel better in yourself, happier, it is good to talk.

From my own experience, therapy has helped me tremendously through my own hardships in life, in times of anxiety, depression and especially through difficulties in the relationships with my closest ones.

It can be overwhelming to not be living a life that seems truly yours, emotionally resulting in anxiety, depression and/or other difficult emotions.

Exploring how we truly feel and think about our experiences can provide us with great insight towards ourselves, our behaviours, and our responses to the unpredictable nature of life and our relationship with ourselves and others.

Counselling sessions with me can help you with some of the following (although there is so much more):

  • Greater sense of self-worth and self-awareness
  • Increased confidence and self-esteem
  • Feeling calmer and more relaxed
  • Better communication skills
  • More intimate and satisfying relationships
  • Develop healthier patterns of relating to others

In my sessions, I follow the values of equality, honesty, non-judgemental approach, and all that is said will stay safe and confidential with me.

My practise is mostly held online (you can choose platform of your choice, I usually use zoom) but I can see people face to face, if they prefer that.

I am fully insured, have ongoing clinical supervision and regularly attend courses and further training to enhance my knowledge and professionalism with Continued Professional Development (CPD).

I feel very privileged to see people change for better in a relatively short time and I am passionate about supporting people to see them grow into their “better self.”

Feel free to contact me for more information, I offer the first informative session for half price.

My Approach.

I work as an integrative counsellor. That means I combine several therapeutic approaches rather than one model, enabling me to offer counselling best suited to you and every person I talk to.

My approach is personal and every counselling session is tailored according to the needs of the client. When I find it helpful, I use tools from other modalities of counselling. As to the speed, we can move in the pace that is just comfortable for you and discuss only things you want to bring up in the sessions, there is no push at all.

TESTIMONIALS:   I am very grateful to Alice for her compassion and expertise. She helped me get in touch with difficult feelings and find a way to manage them when I was going through a period of acute personal and professional stress. I would recommend her to anyone who needs an experienced, thoughtful professional to help them through a difficult time.

Alice is a very kind and calming therapist. She listens and really puts a lot of thought into what you need at the time. I feel very safe and comfortable with her and I really feel like she wants to help.
Alice also has so many useful coping skills to share, she makes the effort to send useful links and she's very creative and has a really lovely way of describing things.

Getting started.

You can contact me by phone or email and I will usually respond within 24 hours to book your first appointment. After an initial contact, we will arrange an online appointment, through the agreed media, usually within a week.

The first initial session is HALF PRICE and gives you the opportunity to explain your situation and to ask any questions you might have regarding counselling process.

We will cover points like:

• What’s brought you to therapy

• Your background

• Your aims and hopes for attending therapy

• Our working agreement

The number of sessions varies enormously and depends on the issues you bring, and on your needs and wants. We can discuss this at your first session.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
