About me

Hello, and welcome to my profile. My name is Agata, and I am a Clinical Psychologist based in Oxford. I offer short- and long-term online therapy for adult individuals.

In my work, I follow an eclectic approach, which means that I draw on various psychotherapeutic modalities and tailor the treatment according to my client’s current needs, preferences, and resources.

I believe in a holistic understanding of health and focus on the person, not just the ailment. In session, I follow the client’s lead, which means I will encourage you to share whatever you feel is relevant. At the beginning of our journey together, during a consultation, I will also want to get to know you better. I may ask you about your family history (including childhood memories), cultural background, spirituality, current circumstances and physical health. This consultation will also give us the opportunity to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me, and if I can be of help to you.

During our meetings, you can expect to find a confidential, safe, and non-judgmental space where you and I will work collaboratively to uncover your unconscious thoughts, understand complex emotions, and identify unhelpful patterns of behaviour that may be hindering you. I aim to create an environment where you can learn to recognize your assets and any blocks to utilizing your full potential so you can find the best ways to improve your life.

I offer my help to clients dealing with common human conditions like stress, anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, disordered eating, difficulties in building and maintaining satisfactory relationships, problems with processing grief and bereavement; those who feel stuck in life and those who are going through existential crises due to significant life changes. I also work with clients with more complex issues like personality disorders, bipolar and psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders during remission).

I offer therapy in English and Polish. I deliver sessions via Zoom.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an HCPC registered practitioner psychologist (reg. no. PYL38146). I qualified in Poland, where I obtained a master's degree in psychology and completed my postgraduate studies in clinical psychology at the Medical University in Gdansk. I have also completed training in integrative psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw. I have over ten years of experience gained through working with clients in various settings (inpatient and outpatient) within the public sectors in Poland (NFZ) and in the UK (NHS) and as an independent practitioner. I continue to develop my therapeutic skills through training and clinical supervision.
