Gill Kaye BACP Senior Accredited & UKCP Registered Counsellor/Supervisor
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor & Supervisor and a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist experienced in working with a wide range of clients and a variety of issues.
I understand that making the decision to start counselling and searching for a counsellor is not easy. I am dedicated to offering a respectful, non-judgemental environment where you can explore any difficulties you may be having. I provide a supportive, confidential space to help you make sense of what you are going through and I aim to assist you in learning about yourself with sensitivity and openness.
I have training in psychodynamic and person-centred counselling as well as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and trauma therapy. I use a combination of these counselling models to best tailor the therapy to your specific needs.
I offer general counselling to individuals from age 16 for a full range of emotional issues. I provide both short term counselling or longer term opened ended counselling, depending on need. I see both men and women of any culture, race, religion or sexual orientation.
As well as my private practice I have worked in some counselling agencies, a GP counselling service, a hospice organisation and trauma rehabilitation work. I also currently lead a cancer support group and I am an approved Police Firearms counsellor. I have a background in nursing and bereavement support.
I also provide therapy for counselling students and supervision for counsellors and health care professionals.
