About me

Skype, Zoom or Face-to-Face sessions available - contact me for more details. (Email preferred)

My counselling approach will engage you in a dialogue were you can tell me in your own words, what it is exactly you feel needs to change, and what those changes might look like.

At a pace that's right for you, I will help you develop perspective on your habitual, automatic and unhelpful behaviours, which can lead us into downward spirals of low mood, anxiety and depression. Gaining a broader perspective places you in the driving seat and provides a felt sense of manageability.

I'll support you in developiing alternative, more skilful stratergies that can free you from the tyranny of the old, familiar and unhelpful paterrns. With greater freedom you are more likely to successfully realise the changes your seeking.

My approach also includes learning to turn towards difficult experiences like depression, anxiety, anger or fear with courage, patience and confidence. This can bring a welcome relief - especially if these states of mind have been with you for some time.

Alongside talking therapy I also offer the option of complimentary mindfulness practices, including meditation.  These practices are above all, practical in every-day life, supporting the establishing of greater emotional confidence and psychological harmony.

Talking therapy and mindfulness approaches offers a gateway to the discovery of a more authentic you, a more integrated you, more at peace with yourself, loved ones and the world you live in.

Clients inform me that I'm an open, friendly and generous therapist with significant awareness of cultural diversity.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
