About me
I wonder if you have ever asked yourself any of these questions...
Why do I repeat the same old patterns over and over again?
Why do I often get stuck in situations and relationships which are not helpful to me and feel powerless to do anything about them?
Why do I often feel upset or anxious without knowing the reason?
Why am I finding it so hard to come to terms with a major event in my life?
If any of these sound familiar you may decide to talk to someone in confidence about it.
I believe that each person has unique potential and is able to change. I offer a non-judgmental and safe space where difficult feelings and experiences can be explored.
I am an English and Italian-speaking analytic psychotherapist and counsellor and EFT couple therapist. I work with individuals and couples on either a short-term focus on specific issues, or a more longer-term open-ended psychotherapy. An initial consultation will help you explore your needs and expectations and decide if therapy can help.
I offer an attachment-based psychoanalytic approach to therapy, which looks at how problems and distress in the present may be related to early experiences. Understanding these will help you develop your own choices and way forward.
I’m also trained in emotionally–focused therapy (EFT), which is an approach to working with couples, families and individuals that fosters the creation of secure relationship bonds. EFT has a high success rate in helping couples heal their relationships. It increases a couples ability to deal with conflicts and creates a deeper sense of emotional, physical and sexual intimacy and safety. Emotionally focused therapy is for anyone who wants to improve their relationship and achieve a lasting and secure bond

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
