About me

Hi, in these unusual times of self isolation we may find ourselves faced with situations that in the past we would have dealt with, with reasonably ease, but now may seem insurmountable to us. So just being able to talk about what we experienced now, difficult events, loss, relationship issues, worries and repetitive thoughts, with someone who is impartial and is not judgemental, can help you find the answers you have been looking for. Because we are advised to stay at home we may assume therapy is not available now. I offer digital therapy if you want to know how it works don’t hesitate to contact me by email or telephone.

I offer help with anxiety, depression, anger, work stress problems, as well as PTSD, abuse and life issues that you might be struggling with. Including relaxation with talking therapy often can help to reduce the number of sessions needed, help with sleep problems, alleviate stress symptoms and give new perspectives.

Together we will decide what is the best way forward for you.

I work with individuals, couples and young adults from age 16yrs, as well as trainee counsellors.

To contact me for an informal short chat or more information, please contact me on the above numbers or send me an email - I look forward to hearing from you.

l aim to return your call the same day, please leave a good time to call back if I am unable to take your call.

I have
worked in this field for nearly 30 years, both in the voluntary sector of Mind, Cruse and private practice and bring a wealth of life experience as well as years of training. I have found that past life events and relationship have a strong influence on who we are today.

I am accredited with the British Association of Counselling and work to their ethical framework.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
