About me
Hi, do you find yourself looking for answers that you can’t find solutions to and faced with situations that in the past you dealt with reasonable ease, but now seem difficult to resolve? Being able to talk about what you experience, like difficult life events, losses, relationship issues, worries and repetitive thoughts and stress with someone who is impartial and non judgemental can help. I offer face to face and digital therapy. If you want to know more as to how I work, don’t hesitate to contact me by email or telephone.
I offer help with anxiety, depression, anger, work stress problems, as well as PTSD, abuse and life issues that you might be struggling with. I use relaxation if/ when it would be helpful and can reduce the number of sessions needed, as well as help with sleep problems, alleviate stress symptoms and give new perspectives.
Together we will decide what is the best way forward for you.
I work with individuals, couples and young adults from age 16yrs, as well as trainee counsellors.
To contact me for an informal short chat or more information, please contact me on the above numbers or send me an email - I look forward to hearing from you.
l aim to return your call the same day, please leave a good time to call back if I am unable to take your call.
I have worked in this field for nearly 30 years, both in the voluntary sector of Mind, Cruse and private practice and bring a wealth of life experience as well as years of training. I have found that past life events and relationship have a strong influence on who we are today.
I am accredited with the British Association of Counselling and work to their ethical framework.
Training, qualifications & experience
My work experience includes 25 yrs with two charities; one a bereavement service, where I worked as a trainer, supervisor and accredited counsellor and the other a National Mental Health Charity at a counselling centre in Milton Keynes, where I saw clients for short and long term therapy referred to by the NHS and Mental health team.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
