About me
Please note: I am unable to take any new referrals until July 2022. Thank you.
Feeling life is a mess? Overwhelmed by anxiety? Struggling to cope? Paralysed by decision making? Frustrated with those around you? Consumed by grief or loneliness? Lost, confused, sad or desperate? These are just some of the reasons why people come for therapy.
My starting point as a therapist is always you and your needs. Whether you are looking for focussed and supportive counselling or longer term psychotherapy, I can offer you a safe space in which to explore and work though the issues you are facing.
I am an experienced, integrative practitioner offering counselling and psychotherapy to individual adults. I have been working with clients in a variety of settings since 1998. These include GP surgeries, longer term counselling in the voluntary sector, a bereavement service, acute and specialist hospital settings, and private practice since 2002. I have been a Clinical Supervisor since 2005 and was the Manager of Balham Community Counselling Service for 6 years.
My base in New Malden is easily accessible for both South West London and Surrey. There is free parking as well as being just a few minutes from bus routes (131, 213, 512) and British Rail.
I can offer concessionary rates for trainees.
I am accredited by the British Psychological Society as a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy .

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
