About me

I have worked as a psychodynamic psychotherapist for the past 20 years. Psychodynamic means that our work will look at unconscious processes and repeated patterns as they manifest themselves in your current life.  Therapy will facilitate self-awareness and provide containment

In person face-face & Online.

I am an MBACP professionally registered qualified counsellor/psychotherapist in South East London.I am a Registered experienced Psychotherapist MBACP and my role is to listen actively to your difficulties and help you clarify your needs, thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive environment. We may look at unresolved past issues, your current life situation, and the future or explore together the options you have in making decisions and managing your life. The aim of our work together is to help you gain a greater awareness, feel more in control of your life and open yourself to all possibilities and to help you create also, understand healthier relationships with yourself and others.

We may all experience psychological pain or turmoil at times feeling anxious, sometimes this may be transient, but sometimes these feelings may persist, and feel insurmountable leaving us feeling depressed and alone. This is where counselling and psychotherapy can help.

You may feel like the same problems and relationship patterns keep repeating themselves, despite your best efforts to move on with your life. You may not be quite able to define exactly what you are feeling, or your emotions might seem overwhelming, as if you cannot understand or control them.

I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), with extensive experience of working with individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties with relationship, bereavement, anger, depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, loss, and much more, In addition to my private counselling practice. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I also have experience of working with mental health issues through Mind which, is the leading mental health charity for England and Wales. I am also trained in the areas of Relationship issues and Bereavement Counselling. I also, have an understanding of the menopause.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
