About me

Are you struggling with anxiety, low mood or depression? Maybe  changes are happening in your life that feel a little overwhelmeing? Do you have low self-esteem and/or confidence issues that you would like to work through?

I work with adults through varied difficulties and challenges to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their situations and offer a warm, confidential and supportive space in which you can explore current feelings and challenges being faced, without fear of judgement

I have  worked with clients experiencing issues with depression, anxiety, grief. fertility struggles, relationship issues, divorce, chronic illness. I have also worked with clients feeling a sense of loss of self with the nature of differing stages of life and also with clients who are experiencing their children growing older and gaining indepence and the feelings this can stir up. I have worked with individuals entering peri-menopause and menopause and helped them work through some of the internal thoughts and emotions that are a result of this life stage.

I have lived experience of ADHD as I was diagnosed 2 years ago and have gained deeper understanding of myself and my processes and a deeper knowledge base through educating myself and listening to other's experience of neurodiversity.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, MBACP) working alongside their Ethical Framework which informs good practice.  I strongly believe that by taking a step back, and taking some time to explore whatever it is that is troubling us, or causing upset in our lives, we can work to gain a better understanding of ourselves and our feelings, honouring them and learning from them to gain a greater sense of overall wellbeing.

I offer an initial 30 minute consultation free of charge, please reach out and contact me

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
