About me

Mental health is so important and I am glad that you have taken a step towards change. Life throws us all levels of curveballs which can make us feel off balance. For example bereavement, relationship breakdowns, work issues whilst perhaps trying to juggle work and family. We can feel lonely, anxious, stressed or confused. Whatever your situation might be, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Through our therapeutic relationship, I will listen and hear what you want to say, and together I would like to help you explore the uncomfortable parts of yourself; your pain, shame, guilt, grief and discover what has been blocking you from living a peaceful, authentic, joyful and purposeful life.

Take the opportunity for us to work together to find healthy ways to manage your difficulties, make positive changes to heal old wounds and give permission to yourself to just be you. Have a safe space where you can freely offload your stresses about everything that is happening around you without the fear of being judged by others, in a confidential environment with a down to earth approach.

It will be a privilege to hear your story. I offer a free 15-minute consultation and reserve some low-cost spaces and I am able to offer online psychotherapy via Zoom.

I am a registered member of the BACP, insured and have regular 1:1 supervision.

My experience has been to work with people from all walks of life and diversity who have experienced anxiety, abuse, domestic violence, depression, self-harm, self-esteem and loss. I also volunteer as a counsellor in West London for a charity.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
